The weather couldn’t have been better for Harburn’s Championship on Saturday.  Alison McBride went into the final round 4 strokes ahead of Jennifer Bryans but by the time the group came to the 17th, a good fight back by Jennifer meant Alison was only leading by one stroke. Linda Boyle was the only player to birdie the 17th so it was onto the 18th where Jennifer had to make a birdie long birdie to have any chance of having a four hole pay off.  Jennifer’s putt just sneaked past the hole resulting in Alison winning by one shot.

In the Handicap Trophy, Janet Hardie and Sheila McEwan played their final matchplay round.  It was a close fought match which again came down to the putts on the 18th.  Janet had to make a long putt to halve the hole but it just slipped by making Sheila the winner.
