We are striving to continue to grow the game of golf to Women and Girls and increase our female membership numbers at Harburn in 2020. Last season, we ran a number of successful group golfing lesson blocks. In order to build upon this success, it was our aim to secure funding to purchase additional ladies golf clubs to be held at the club. We are delighted to say that our funding application to West Lothian Council (Active West Lothian) was successful and we now have available 6 half sets of Wilson clubs for ladies to borrow. We are hoping that having the clubs available, will help to break down any barriers in terms of investment of equipment, and thus encourage more active participation in the game of golf.
The clubs are available to borrow now for one-to-one lessons. Group lesson dates for this season will be released soon. Ladies can also take up a Membership at Harburn and borrow clubs for their game until such point as they are ready to invest in their own equipment. With this in mind we would encourage you all to spread the news to friends and family. With our Girls Golf Hub running this season too, Mothers and Daughters can get involved in our wonderful game.
Can we extend our thanks to our Member, Sheila McEwan, for her guidance during our funding application process.
To borrow the clubs please speak to Stephen in our Pro Shop.
