On Friday 7th September Mark (Ginge) Littlejohn worked his final early morning shift at Harburn golf club. Following the recent birth of his daughter he has decided to change employment to something a little more family friendly.

Mark has been with us for 12 years and has been a stalwart of the greens staff and provided excellent service to us over this time. He is probably best remembered for some of the more tricky pin positions we have seen. He was also responsible for the early morning Facebook updates about the course, which were well received by all.

Mark is moving on from green keeping, but is working for a company with links to golf and other sports as a technical advisor. This gives him more regular hours, and his weekends will be freed up to spend time with his family, and hopefully reduce his handicap.

He is staying on as a member of the club he has served so well so we will no doubt see plenty of him around the course and clubhouse.

Mark received a small present on behalf of the members from myself and Jim Stewart ( vice captain) see attached photo.

I, on behalf of the other greens staff, council and all members would like to thank him for his sterling service to the club. We wish him well for the future and every success in his new venture.
