We are proud to be celebrating Women and Girls’ Golf Week, a campaign which aims to raise awareness and encourage women and girls to take up our sport. Taking place from Monday 29th July- Sunday 4th August the week has been timed to coincide with the AIG Women’s British Open being staged at Woburn from 1-4 August.
The campaign is being supported by Scottish Golf, England Golf, Wales Golf and The Irish Ladies Golf Union and is designed to unite the golf industry in growing the women and girls’ game.
The R&A, the European Tour, The Ladies European Tour, The Professional Golfers’ Association and the Golf Foundation are also among the bodies supporting the activity.
Andrew McKinlay, Scottish Golf Chief Executive, Said:
“Following a hugely successful campaign last year, Scottish Golf is delighted to be working together with partners from across the golf industry to celebrate golf as a game for everyone.
It is a huge summer for women’s sport with the Solheim Cup returning to Scotland and we are looking forward to working with the other home associations to highlight the opportunities available for women and girls to get involved with the game.”
Harburns ladies lessons and adult beginner lessons have been designed to coincide with this campaign. We still have a few spaces available in both group lessons which start on Monday 5th August and Friday 9th August.
