Labinjoh Medal

Kyle Fleming shoots 62 to top qualifying
The first Labinjoh Medal of the year was played in ideal conditions which was reflected in the scoring with some very low scores. A good field of 116 players took part and leading qualifier was Kyle Fleming with a brilliant score of 62 though finishing only two ahead of Douglas Saunders. Great shooting lads.

Division 1
First in division 1 was Keith Middlemass with a 67 (74-7). Keith was out in 39 gross before coming back in a very impressive level par 35. His net 67 was two shots ahead of Paul Chisholm (75-6) and Jim Davidson (73-4). Paul also played well on the back 9 despite a double bogey at 17, his 33 was a shot better than Jim, who bogeyed the last.

Division 2
Top qualifier Kyle Fleming wins division 2 with a superb 62 (75-13). Kyle had 10 net birdies in equal halves of 31. Two shots behind was Douglas Saunders thanks to an impressive 64 (74-10). Douglas had 6 net birdies and a net eagle at 14 helping him home in 30 shots. A mention too for Willie Cruickshanks whose 66 (79-13) would normally be good enough to be in the prizes.

Division 3
Top prize in division 3 went to Tom Robb with a very good 68 (85-17) winning by a shot from Alex Crossley (88-19). Tom started well with a net eagle at the first and kept the good scoring going with 3 net birdies in a front 9 of 33. A further 3 net birdies saw him home in 35. Alex had 2 net eagles and 6 net birdies in his round.
