Steady play in difficult windy conditions by Masterton & Russell resulted in a 3&2 victory, Conway & Bowman had a super 5&3 win only to be outdone by the rejuvenated Alex Bathgate and the ultra steady Stephen Burns who won 5&4.

Wardrop & Henderson narrowly lost 2&1 and back markers Rome & Stokes lost on the 18th green.

A satisfying result and an essential home win – Well done the senior gents.

Ladies Midwest Trophy

Uphall Golf Club were the hosts this year for the annual Mid West event which 9 clubs in West Lothian entered a team of 4.

Harburn’s team of Jennifer Bryans, Dorothy Wilson, Meg Laidler and Annie Leitch rose mightily to the challenge.

The team’s best 3 scores won the competition convincingly with a combined net score of 216.

Runners up were Niddry Castle with 224.

A fantastic win ladies – you did yourselves and Harburn proud!
