Society, Visiting Party and Group Golf
The competition had some excellent scoring. Home-club pairs from Harburn heavily featured at the top of the leaderboard, though strong representation from visiting clubs like Kilmarnock Barassie and Bathgate kept the pressure high.
The handicap competition saw a tight finish, with the top spot claimed by Alex Bathgate & Helen Warnock representing Harburn, carding a brilliant net 65.
Ties for second and fifth places were tight and needed a better inward half countback.
In the Scratch competition David & Lesley Walker put on an excellent performance to finish at the top of the field with a gross score of 76, a comfortable 5-stroke cushion over their nearest competitors.
The “2’s” sweep was awarded players for a 2 on any hole.
Notable Achievement: Craig & Maureen Allan recorded two separate 2’s during their round, doubling their sweep prize.
