Another big field for this week’s Kirk Medal.
Tony Simons takes leading qualifier with a net score of 64!
Much fairer weather saw another big entry of 110 players competing in the second Kirk Rosebowl Qualifier.
In the Division One competition William Saunders took the honours with a gross 72 which gave a net 67, four shots clear of Greg Dymock, Karl Conway and Scott O’Hagan with Greg taking second place on the count back.

William was out in 36 and also came with home with a 36 helped along with birdies at 3, 11 & 17.
Greg was out in 38 and came back in 36 with birdies at 1, 9 & 11.
William won £16.25 for first place in the sweep and Greg picked up £8.75.

Also, special mention to Chris Curran who joined us today for the medal. Chris shot a scratch 67 which included birdies at 1, 2, 10, 12 & 13 and managed to throw in an eagle at hole 9. Super shooting and we all wish Chris well for the new season on the Tartan Pro Tour.
Division 2 turned out to be a tight affair with three golfers returning rounds of net 69. Mark McManus took top spot with David Harris pipping Tom Robb to second, all on the countback.

Mark carded two halves of 39 and was aided with a birdie at 10. David went out in 39 and returned in 42. Well done.
Mark won £31.20 for first place in the sweep and David picked up £16.80.
In Division 3, Tony Simons took top spot as well as leading qualifier with a score of 64. Coming second was Callum McLeod three shots further back on 67.
Tony won £24.05 for first place in the sweep and Callum picked up £12.95.
Three players birdied the 15th hole, Karl Conway, Ross Adamson and Craig Deerness all collecting £28.53 in the “Two’s” sweep.
