⛳️New Members Day⛳️

Our latest New Members Day took place on Sunday 5th May with 24 participants and 8 hosts, our highest take up rate to date, which is very encouraging. There were several other new members who were interested but could not make this date, suggesting pent up demand for a further event.

The excellent condition of the course and the concept of having a new members day were both mentioned positively by many of the attendees. The weather conditions were pretty much perfect and after a chat/filled roll the golf got underway. The winning team with an impressive score of 120 (best 2 net scores per hole) were Team 4 Alan Aitchison, Ian Mitchell, Stuart Boyd and Donald Caskie. Joint runners up 4 shots back were Teams 6 & 8. Everyone met in the back lounge for soup/sandwiches and the prizegiving. There were various contenders for the best shot/funniest moment on the day with the award going to Ian Mitchell for a stunning putt on the 18th although it was probably Alan Aitchison’s ad lib that made it so special!

Huge thanks to our Hosts for supporting the event, including Stuart Houlden who hosted a team and generously provided the prizes. Also must mention our super sub host John Flockhart who answered a pleas for help at 7.55 on the day.

Thank you to our new members for taking part and our hosts for the day, Bistro19 for providing excellent food again. Well done to Donald Caskie for pulling together another successful event.
