McBride Trophy
Meg Laidler and Sheila McEwan tied for top place in the second round of The McBride, both scoring 71 net. This was more than enough for Meg to win The McBride Trophy, scoring a total of 140 from her two rounds. Well done! Runner up was Sheila McEwan on 144.
A couple of other pieces of news:
Jennifer Bryans tied for 1st place at Carnwath, which was one of the Scottish Medal Area final courses – congratulations! Jennifer now qualifies for the Scottish Medal final at St Andrews later in the year. Karen Thomson, one of Harburn’s other Scottish Medal qualifiers, opted to play at Deerpark on July 1st – good luck Karen.
Meg and Jennifer also did well at Wishaw GC Greensomes and took 1st scratch – well done!
And finally, Jennifer has made it through to the Scottish East Vets semi final championship at Haddington where she will play Caroline Steedman from Murrayfield on 6th July – good luck Jennifer
