Harburn Masters 2025 ⛳️

Congratulations to Stuart Ross and Stewart Mackay on winning the Harburn Masters this weekend.

After 125 players took part on Saturday another 81 played the second round. Great to see so may players taking part over the two days. A massive well done to the Greens staff for the condition of the course which was looking unbelievable so early in the season.

Division 1
After his 71 on Saturday that left him 5 shots behind, Stuart turned in 3 under par to close the gap. He then had a bit of a wobble at the start of the back 9 but steadied the ship to come back in 34 for a 67 giving him a total of 138. First round leader Calum Ross, who had a 66 on Saturday, started slowly on Sunday and turned in 4 over then it got worse with another bogey at 12. However, he managed to finish well to limit the damage, his 140 total (66+74) giving him second place just ahead of Chris Rooney on countback. Chris also started badly on Sunday with a double bogey at the 3rd. Bogeys at 15 and 16 looked costly but a birdie at 17 saw him finish in 3rd place (67+73), also on countback ahead of Paul Adamson (70+70). Countback being determined on best rounds.

Stuart wins £50 plus the Green Jacket and Masters trophy, Calum wins £30 and Chris gets £20. Calum also wins £25 for lowest gross score of 60 over the weekend.

Division 2
It looked like it would be a tight finish in division 2 with 19 players within 5 shots of Stewart Mackay after his 68 in round one. However, Stewart had other ideas and raced to the turn on Sunday in 32 and followed that up with a back 9 of 33 to finish with a fantastic 65 for a total of 133. This helped him finish 5 shots ahead of Ian Littlejohn. Ian followed up his 70 on day one with a more than respectable 68 for a 138 total. Very steady golf from the top two. In third was Ryan Henderson who matched his 70 on Saturday to finish with a 140 total.

Stewart wins £50 plus the Green Jacket and Masters trophy. Ian gets £30 and Ryan wins £20 for third spot. Thanks to his second round 65 Stewart wins £25 for lowest net score of the weekend.

The Full Leaderboard will be published tomorrow and posted on the Club noticeboards.
