Greens Team Update
Greens Team Update- Winter Course Maintenance !
Despite the challenging weather conditions this winter, The Greens team has been working tirelessly to ensure our course is in great shape for the upcoming season.
In the face of a particularly wet winter, we’ve received great feedback on the course’s condition.
Heres a snapshot of what’s been going on
Greens Care: Despite the wet weather, we’ve managed to cut and fertilize the greens, ensuring they stay in excellent condition.
Bunker Renovation: The team has been hard at work at the third green, digging out bunkers and replacing drains. Refilling and settling will be completed before the season begins. Additionally, the front of the 2nd hole bunker has been tidied up.
Drainage Improvements: Initiatives to enhance drainage on the 10th and 14th greens are planned. Turf will be lifted, and, weather permitting, trenches will be created to support new drains.
Maintenance Training: The team has undergone maintenance training with Malcolm, our retired engineer. This ensures that everyone is well-equipped to handle equipment, contributing to the overall course upkeep.
Bench Refurbishment: Our course benches are undergoing a winter makeover, getting them ready to welcome golfers with a fresh look in the upcoming season. A special vote of thanks to Alan Rome and Ross Muirhead for their hours of work on the benches.
Thanks Greens Team for all you do
