Steven Craig, Harburn GC wins Gents Senior Open
Congratulation’s to home player Steven Craig on winning the Harburn Gents Senior Open yesterday firing a 3 under par round of 68 (82-14) to take the honours on the countback from another Harburn player Colin MacKenzie (85-17).
Steven out in gross 44 for the front nine and returning in 38gross in a round that included no fewer than 7 net birdies.
Steven wins £125 in Pro Shop vouchers for top prize.
It was a good effort from home player Colin MacKenzie in second place who played his best golf on the back nine with gross 41 after going out in 44. Colin had a top place in an age category as a consolation.

Harburn players did well in the age category prizes with Colin MacKenzie, Tony Lang and William Heeps all topping their age groups. Special mention to Broomieknowe GC who also performed very well in the age category awards.
Well done lads.
Congratulations to Gary Corrigan from Greenburn on winning the top scratch prize with a fine round of 71 in the conditions, edging out home player Nick Henderson by one shot.
Highlights from Gary’s round were three birdies at the 2nd, 12th and 18th holes. Great scoring and well played.
Gary wins £125 in SGU vouchers for his win.
Five players birdied the 15th hole, home players William Heeps and Mark Fowler. Kenneth Murray from Galashiels GC, Benny Dolan from Colville Park and lastly Andrew Scobbie from Bonnybridge GC.
