Junior Golf

Last week we held our Junior Championships.

In the Flag Championship we had 8 children take part as they tried to navigate their way as far around the first 9 holes from forward tees in 40 shots.

In Joint 2nd place we had Ella Pirrie & Lucas Gregson who managed to finish up the 7th hole using their 40th shot but this years winner who still had some shots to use after the 7th was Cameron Stark. Cameron was runner up in the last 2 years and now finally gets his hands on the championship!

In the main Junior championship it came down to a close battle between Dean Brown and last years winner Peter Cowley. Peter had a great front 9 that included 3 birdies to shot 37 and take a commanding lead into the back 9 but Dean managed to fight his way back into it and they were neck and neck by the 14th. Dean held his nerve on the last 5 holes to clinch the championship.
