Brian Halliday made it second time lucky today winning the Kirk Final after leading last week only for the competition to be postponed because of the weather. Brian scored a three under par net 68 (77-9) to win by two shots from Allan Maxwell (80-10) and Samuel Johnstone (94-20) both finishing with 70’s.
Brian was out in 40 which included a birdie at the 9th and came back in an impressive two over par 37, bogeying only the two par 3’s.
Allan had two steady nines scoring 40 each half but the back nine included a gut wrenching 9 proving costly for him in an otherwise solid round.
Samuel Johnston took third beaten on a back nine countback but will be delighted with his birdie two’s at the 3rd and 15th holes.
Well done to Ray Stevens for also achieving a two at the 15th and congratulations to Colin Fullarton for a fantastic eagle 3 at the 11th hole – well done Colin.
