Alan Mark takes leading qualifier with a net score of 65!

 

A field of 105 players competing in the latest Kirk Rosebowl Qualifier which saw some decent scoring.

 

In the Division One competition Greg Dymock took the honours with a fine gross 70 which gave a net 66, three shots clear of Christopher Rooney.

 

Greg was out in 36 and came home in a fine 34. Birdies at holes 2, 8, 10 & 16 to help the score.

 

Christopher was out in 40 and came back in 35 with birdies at 10 & 16.

 

Greg won £17.55 for first place in the sweep and Christopher picked up £9.45.

Division 2 winner and leading qualifier was Alan Mark with a fine round of 77 which gave a net 65, finishing four shots clear of Ian Littlejohn who carded a score of 83 for net 69. Ian edging out Douglas Saunders on the count back.

 

Alan going out in 37 and home in 40. Douglas was out in 43 and home in 40.

 

Alan won £29.90 for first place in the sweep and Ian picked up £16.10.

 

Division 3 saw a tight affair; William Marr took top spot with a score of net 66 and won from Gordon Birrell on the countback.

 

Div. 3 Countback details for 1st place were.

 

William Marr           66      28      17      9        1st

Gordon Birrell         66      33      20      10       2nd

 

William won £20.80 for first place in the sweep and Gordon picked up £11.20.

 

Two players birdied the 15th hole and took home the spoils, Jim Davidson and Barry Cleeton collecting £42.00 each in the “Two’s” sweep.
