Mark “Ginge” Littlejohn takes leading qualifier with a net score of 66!

 

A field of 75 players competing in the latest Kirk Rosebowl Qualifier.

 

In the Division One competition Mark “Ginge” Littlejohn took the honours with a fantastic gross 70 which gave a net 66, two shots clear of William (Bill) McKenna.

 

Mark was out in 36 and came home in a fine 34. Birdies at holes 2, 4, 10 & 18 to help the fine score.

 

Bill was out in 37 and came back in 36 with a birdie at 15.

 

Mark won £11.70 for first place in the sweep and Bill picked up £6.30.

Division 2 proved to be a close-run thing with Colin Hume winning on the countback from Steven Moffat. Steven keeping up a fine run of form. Colin helped along with a birdie at hole 1.

 

Div. 2 Countback details were –

 

Colin Hume             70      36      23      13      1st

Steven Moffat         70      36      24      13       2nd

 

Colin won £20.15 for first place in the sweep and Steven picked up £10.85.

 

In Division 3, David Brash took top spot with a score of net 67. Coming second was Stuart Macpherson three shots further back on net 70.

 

David won £16.90 for first place in the sweep and Stuart picked up £9.10.

 

Three players birdied the 15th hole, William (Bill) McKenna, Cameron Vines and Gordon Somerville collecting £19.73 in the “Two’s” sweep.

In addition, both David Brash and Steven Moffat had previously qualified for the final.
