Senior Matchplay Semis

• Nick Henderson and Alexander Bathgate served up a fantastic semi final. The match never more than 2up at any stage. Nick took a one up lead to the back nine before increasing the lead to 2 up at the next. Alexander then levelled the match up courtesy of a fine birdie at the 12^th before a solid par at the 13^th restored parity in the match. Nick re-took the upper hand with a birdie at 15^th with a monster putt and then made it 2up with another birdie at 16. Alexander wasn’t done and his par at 17^th versus Nick’s bogey saw the match fittingly head down the last. Both players hit the green in regulation and Nick lagged a perfect putt for his par leaving Alexander with a put to take it to an extra hole. In keeping with a super match he saw a great effort lip out and Nick took the honours.
