Weekend Round-Up

Weekend round-up for the 11th & 12th May, what a fantastic weekend for Harburn members.

Well done to Harburn Ladies Midwest Team

It was a very commendable joint 3rd place finish for Harburn’s Midwest Team of Aileen Kennedy, Elizabeth Burns, Hazel Deerness and Annie Leitch.  This year, the annual competition was hosted at Bathgate.  The team would like to thank Fiona Smith and Anne Stokes, along with Annie and Agnes, for their support on the day!

The Midway League team of Elaine Wilson, Elizabeth Burns, Hazel Deerness and Deirdre Taylor, was in action on Monday evening away against Uphall.  All the matches were very close with only one hole in the final results team which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Well done to all those that represented Harburn at the weekend at the LGA spring handicap.

Special mention to the prizewinners with some fantastic golf.

Greg cherry also won a prize for the 4th lowest scratch score in this class.

Well done to Meg Laidler, just pipped in the final of the Midlothian County Championship.

In the semi final of the MCLGA B Championship at Murrayfield, Meg Laidler had a good 2/1 victory over Jaci Moriarty from Lochend.  So onto the final in afternoon where Meg played Jane MacDonald (Merchants).  This was a very close game but Jane just edged Meg out and won the final 1 up.

Both Meg and Jennifer Bryans did themselves & Harburn proud. What a fantastic
