Hazel Deerness wins The Wilson Cup!
- The Wilson Cup final between Hazel Deerness and Annie Leitch took place on Friday, and it was a close match. Annie sank some fantastic early putts, but Hazel managed to pull ahead and was 2 up at the 16th.
Just when it seemed like Hazel had it in the bag, a ‘safe’ play at the 16th led to some unexpected trouble, costing her the hole! The pressure was on, but Hazel held her nerve and sealed the victory with a decisive putt on the 17th.
Congratulations to Hazel on her well-deserved win, and commiserations to Annie. Well done on a hard fought match.
